Hello! If I do fasted workouts should I take my amino supplements after my workout when I drink my protein shake or wait until the shake has digested for about an hour? Thank you!

how do you equate Kion aminos to grams of protein. For example if I require 150 grams protein per day. What does 1 serving of Aminos deliver.
Thanks for the excellent question here! This requires a fairly complex answer, so let’s dive in:
When speaking to the equivalency of Kion Aminos to other dietary proteins, we look not only to the amount of Essential Amino Acids contained therein but, more importantly, the absorption rate of those EAA’s. Remember, Kion Aminos contain essential amino acids only, and thus are not intended to outright replace other forms of dietary proteins.
Absorption rates of proteins in general (or more specifically, EAA’s) can be accurately measured by looking at the Net Nitrogen Utilization (NNU) of a given form of protein. Simply put, this methodology denotes how much of a given protein is excreted by the body in various forms of waste (vs. that which is absorbed) by looking at the body’s nitrogen balance. It is through this process that we are able to determine the essential amino acid utilization (or absorption) rate of various dietary proteins and make certain comparisons.
Kion Aminos are not intended to replace other forms of dietary proteins full-stop, but can be beneficial to both those looking to increase their overall protein intake without the addition of excess caloric intake, as well as those looking to cut overall calorie intake while maintaining optimal nitrogen balance.
How much of each amino acid the body needs varies according to multiple factors, including: body composition, diet, environmental stressors, pathological stressors, physical activity, physiological state, programmed metabolic capacity and sex.
Optimal dietary provision of protein, amino acids and nitrogen to satisfy basal requirements in any individual will only occur when demands are first met for energy and all other nutrients needed for normal cellular and tissue functions. Amino acid metabolism is critically dependent on the amount and quality of food consumed.
Many factors, as noted, affect how well the body metabolizes and utilizes amino acids consumed as part of our diet. High levels of protein intake by athletes, for example, may increase the oxidation of amino acids and, thus, the need for more amino acids.
